About

Columbia Consulting Group (CCG) is the premier student-run management consulting firm at Columbia University that provides consulting services to large-scale companies and growing start-ups.

Founded in 2013, CCG has since engaged in numerous consulting projects in New York City and beyond. We strive to grow businesses and solve complex strategic problems. Providing a variety of consulting services, we connect companies with the highest quality students, who undergo our rigorous interview and application process. We comprise a diverse community of hundreds of student members on campus.

For each project, student consultants come together and tackle a real-world business problem.

Our analysts have gone on to the top consultancies including Boston Consulting Group, Bain & Co., McKinsey & Co., as well as the top investment banking such as Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, and other firms outside of finance and consulting.

CCG seeks to educate undergraduate students about the world of consulting and prepare students to enter the industry through speakers, information sessions, Case Study practice sessions, and advising. The club will help organize and consolidate all of the information, recruiting tools, and resources on campus and through Columbia’s Center for Career Education. We hope to accomplish this through a three-pronged approach:

  1. Extensive Case Practice and Preparation: CCG will provide case study practice sessions and workshops, often led by graduate students and industry professionals, to help undergraduates succeed in their interviews. These workshops with peers and professionals offer the opportunity to improve case study, brainteasers, and market sizing skills.
  2. Industry Education: By bringing in industry professional and campus resources, CCG will be the one-stop shop for consulting knowledge and questions. Students will learn about the many opportunities consulting has to offer, from the various industries involved to the firms specializing in each industry and beyond.
  3. Industry Connections: CCG believes it is crucial to have exposure to consultants from prominent firms. Accordingly, CCG will invite guests with consulting experience as part of a monthly speaker series. Further, these professionals will often lead Case Study workshops and provide practical advice, including how to present experiences in a compelling way and helpful frameworks for problem solving.
